Helen Thomas asks the White House why the most recent alleged bomber was motivatated to bomb the plane to Detroit. She doesn’t seem to get a sufficient answer. When the Trade Center was destroyed, many sympathized with torrorists, stating that the Trade Center attack was retribution for excessive U.S. bullying in the Muslim world abroad. Point taken.
Does not the same logic apply? Are we, the United States, any more the congenial neighbor than we were a few years ago?
