The Efficient Markets Theory - another reason it isn't so efficient
People are knowingly buying bankrupt companies in hopes of out-timing their demise. Weird indeed. The efficient markets theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efficient_market_theory) might hold up, if only humans always translated information into wisdom.
