“Misrepresentations”
Yesterday, in speaking about health reform in his weekly radio address, President Obama said:
”This is an issue of vital concern to every American, and I’m glad that so many are engaged. But it also should be an honest debate, not one dominated by willful misrepresentations and outright distortions…”
In a recent letter to the president, Dr. Joseph Zuckerman, President of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and my mentor, encourages President Obama to rethink some of his own misrepresentations. Please read the letter and draw your own conclusions.

I spent my fellowship year under Dr. Zuckerman’s guidance. In my opinion, as a patient advocate, clinician and educator, his integrity is unsurpassed.
